I tried using a pull-pull linkage, which was great until one of the cables broke. I decided not to waste time fixing it; I just replaced them both with pushrods. It's important to have long, smooth curves in the linkage to prevent binding. It took some care to cut holes through the formers in exactly the right places. This tool I made out of wire helps. The end is cut to be sharp so it drills away wood.
On both ends of the linkage I'm using a Z bend in the wire to attach it to the 1/32" ply horns.

The receiver antenna isn't secured to the plane anywhere, so to get it to stay in place along the length of the boom I routed it through the fin. The friction holds it in place.
