Once the wing and tail surfaces are done they can be fixed briefly to the fuse to approximate the CG. Not surprisingly it looks like it's going to be tail heavy and needs some weight in the nose. Obviously getting the battery as far forward as possible is the best way to fix this.
I need to have access to both the receiver and battery, and by access I mean able to get them out easily for maintenance. I decided to make a removable panel on the underside of the pod that exposes both sides of the keel. I cut out spaces in the formers for the battery and receiver.
I'll still be adding a little lead to bring the CG forward to the suggested balance in between spars on the wing.
