It took the better part of spring and summer to finish another wooden sailplane which will soon be presented in the German sailplane magazine AUFWIND (and its English(!) version).
Therefore I started just about three weeks ago with sanding and covering and applying the first coats of paint filler. The result today yields only reduced happiness on my part as, I think, we are all a bit spoiled by the perfect appearance of a (well made) GRP-fuselage and this is hard to achieve with balsa sheeting. One should seriously consider the use of thin ply instead which would also be closer to the actual sheet metal surface of the original.
Anyway, I plan to finish the plane in the upcoming weeks step by step.
