After finishing the wing sheeting, the less spectacular part started: hinging the brake doors.
For a clean door action and not yet being decided about the covering/finishing, I decided to use again the conventional flat hinges from which I took off their axis to begin with. For the final assembly I shall use full length 1.2 mm piano wires each which will allow easy servicing and access to the brake servo. I chiseled an individual recess for each hinge, "CAed" the hinge half into it and completed it with filler.
This time consuming work being done, I returned to the wing leading edge which required some filling and a first sanding, and I added the wing tips.
This completes the wings so far. The major items left are the ailerons which will be cut out only during the final sanding and the ply root ribs which will be added only after the fuselage has been assembled far enough as to serve as a reference for a "perfect fit".
In the meantime, I started the tail section with the rudder frame...
... which is already sheeted as well with 1/64" ply.
Please excuse me now for the fin assembly...
